2025-09-22btrfs: move ref-verify under CONFIG_BTRFS_DEBUGLeo Martins
Remove CONFIG_BTRFS_FS_REF_VERIFY Kconfig and add it as part of CONFIG_BTRFS_DEBUG. This should not be impactful to the performance of debug. The struct btrfs_ref takes an additional u64, btrfs_fs_info takes an additional spinlock_t and rb_root. All of the ref_verify logic is still protected by a mount option. 2025-07-21btrfs: constify more pointer parametersDavid Sterba
Another batch of pointer parameter constifications. This is for clarity and minor addition to type safety. There are no observable effects in the assembly code and .ko measured on release config. Signed-off-by: David Sterba <dsterba@suse.com>
2024-03-04btrfs: add forward declarations and headers, part 1David Sterba
Do a cleanup in the short headers: - add forward declarations for types referenced by pointers - add includes when types need them This fixes potential compilation problems if the headers are reordered or the missing includes are not provided indirectly. 2019-04-29btrfs: ref-verify: Use btrfs_ref to refactor btrfs_ref_tree_mod()Qu Wenruo
It's a perfect match for btrfs_ref_tree_mod() to use btrfs_ref, as btrfs_ref describes a metadata/data reference update comprehensively. Now we have one less function use confusing owner/level trick. 2018-04-12btrfs: replace GPL boilerplate by SPDX -- headersDavid Sterba
Remove GPL boilerplate text (long, short, one-line) and keep the rest, ie. personal, company or original source copyright statements. Add the SPDX header. Unify the include protection macros to match the file names. Signed-off-by: David Sterba <dsterba@suse.com>
2017-10-30Btrfs: add a extent ref verify toolJosef Bacik
We were having corruption issues that were tied back to problems with the extent tree. In order to track them down I built this tool to try and find the culprit, which was pretty successful. If you compile with this tool on it will live verify every ref update that the fs makes and make sure it is consistent and valid. I've run this through with xfstests and haven't gotten any false positives.
