Contrary to what was stated on d36349ea73d8 ("Bluetooth: hci_conn:
Fix running bis_cleanup for hci_conn->type PA_LINK") the PA_LINK does
in fact needs to run bis_cleanup in order to terminate the PA Sync,
since that is bond to the listening socket which is the entity that
controls the lifetime of PA Sync, so if it is closed/released the PA
Sync shall be terminated, terminating the PA Sync shall not result in
the BIG Sync being terminated since once the later is established it
doesn't depend on the former anymore.
If the use user wants to reconnect/rebind a number of BIS(s) it shall
keep the socket open until it no longer needs the PA Sync, which means
it retains full control of the lifetime of both PA and BIG Syncs.

Periodic advertising enabled flag cannot be tracked by the enabled

enabled/disabled separately from one another causing the states to be
inconsistent when for example an advertising set is disabled its

This fixes the state tracking of advertisement set/instance 0x00 which
is considered a legacy instance and is not tracked individually by
adv_instances list, previously it was assumed that hci_dev itself would
track it via HCI_LE_ADV but that is a global state not specifc to
instance 0x00, so to fix it a new flag is introduced that only tracks the
state of instance 0x00.

hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() does lookup and then cancel
the entry under two separate lock sections. Meanwhile,
hci_cmd_sync_work() can also delete the same entry,
leading to double list_del() and "UAF".
Fix this by holding cmd_sync_work_lock across both
lookup and cancel, so that the entry cannot be removed
concurrently.

When creating an advertisement for BIG the address shall not be
non-resolvable since in case of acting as BASS/Broadcast Assistant the
address must be the same as the connection in order to use the PAST

random address
Currently, the connectable flag used by the setup of an extended
advertising instance drives whether we require privacy when trying to pass
a random address to the advertising parameters (Own Address).
If privacy is not required, then it automatically falls back to using the
controller's public address. This can cause problems when using controllers
that do not have a public address set, but instead use a static random
address.
e.g. Assume a BLE controller that does not have a public address set.
The controller upon powering is set with a random static address by default
by the kernel.

This causes either the controller to emit an Invalid Parameters error or to
mishandle the advertising.
This patch makes sure that we use the already set static random address
when requesting a connectable extended advertising when we don't require
privacy and our public address is not set (00:00:00:00:00:00).

Currently, for controllers with extended advertising, the advertising
data is set in the asynchronous response handler for extended
adverstising params. As most advertising settings are performed in a
synchronous context, the (asynchronous) setting of the advertising data
is done too late (after enabling the advertising).
Move setting of adverstising data from asynchronous response handler
into synchronous context to fix ordering of HCI commands.

Use separate link type id for unicast and broadcast ISO connections.
These connection types are handled with separate HCI commands, socket
API is different, and hci_conn has union fields that are different in
the two cases, so they shall not be mixed up.
Currently in most places it is attempted to distinguish ucast by
bacmp(&c->dst, BDADDR_ANY) but it is wrong as dst is set for bcast sink
hci_conn in iso_conn_ready(). Additionally checking sync_handle might be
OK, but depends on details of bcast conn configuration flow.
To avoid complicating it, use separate link types.

BIG Create Sync requires the command to just generates a status so this
makes use of __hci_cmd_sync_status_sk to wait for

recently this has caused the following problem and is actually a nice
addition for the likes of Socket TX complete:
< HCI Command: Read Buffer Size (0x04|0x0005) plen 0
> HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 11
Read Buffer Size (0x04|0x0005) ncmd 1
Status: Success (0x00)
ACL MTU: 1021 ACL max packet: 5
SCO MTU: 240 SCO max packet: 8
...
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
< SCO Data TX: Handle 257 flags 0x00 dlen 120
> HCI Event: Hardware Error (0x10) plen 1
Code: 0x0a
To fix the code will now attempt to enable buffer flow control when
HCI_QUIRK_SYNC_FLOWCTL_SUPPORTED is set by the driver:
< HCI Command: Write Sync Fl.. (0x03|0x002f) plen 1
Flow control: Enabled (0x01)
> HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 4
Write Sync Flow Control Enable (0x03|0x002f) ncmd 1
Status: Success (0x00)
On success then HCI_SCO_FLOWCTL would be set which indicates sco_cnt
shall be used for flow contro.

Commit b35108a51cf7 ("jiffies: Define secs_to_jiffies()") introduced
secs_to_jiffies(). As the value here is a multiple of 1000, use
secs_to_jiffies() instead of msecs_to_jiffies to avoid the multiplication.
This is converted using scripts/coccinelle/misc/secs_to_jiffies.cocci with
the following Coccinelle rules:
@depends on patch@
expression E;
@@
-msecs_to_jiffies(E * 1000)
+secs_to_jiffies(E)
-msecs_to_jiffies(E * MSEC_PER_SEC)
+secs_to_jiffies(E)

This marks LL Privacy as stable by removing its experimental UUID and
move its functionality to Device Flag (HCI_CONN_FLAG_ADDRESS_RESOLUTION)
which can be set by MGMT Device Set Flags so userspace retain control of

Fix __hci_cmd_sync_sk() to return not NULL for unknown opcodes.
__hci_cmd_sync_sk() returns NULL if a command returns a status event.
However, it also returns NULL where an opcode doesn't exist in the
hci_cc table because hci_cmd_complete_evt() assumes status = skb->data[0]
for unknown opcodes.
This leads to null-ptr-deref in cmd_sync for HCI_OP_READ_LOCAL_CODECS as
there is no hci_cc for HCI_OP_READ_LOCAL_CODECS, which always assumes
status = skb->data[0].

This restores behaviour (including the comment) from now-removed
hci_request.c, and also matches existing code for active scanning.
Without this, the duplicates filter is always active when passive
scanning, which makes it impossible to work with devices that send
nontrivial dynamic data in their advertisement reports.

When suspending the scan filter policy cannot be 0x00 (no acceptlist)
since that means the host has to process every advertisement report
waking up the system, so this attempts to check if hdev is marked as
suspended and if the resulting filter policy would be 0x00 (no
acceptlist) then skip passive scanning if thre no devices in the
acceptlist otherwise reset the filter policy to 0x01 so the acceptlist
is used since the devices programmed there can still wakeup be system.
