2025-10-10selftests/bpf: Test direct packet access on non-linear skbsPaul Chaignon
This patch adds new selftests in the direct packet access suite, to cover the non-linear case. The first six tests cover the behavior of the bounds check with a non-linear skb. The last test adds a call to bpf_skb_pull_data() to be able to access the packet. Note that the size of the linear area includes the L2 header, but for some program types like cgroup_skb, ctx->data points to the L3 header. Therefore, a linear area of 22 bytes will have only 8 bytes accessible to the BPF program (22 - ETH_HLEN). For that reason, the cgroup_skb test cases access the packet at an offset of 8 bytes. 2025-10-10selftests/bpf: Support non-linear flag in test loaderPaul Chaignon
This patch adds support for a new tag __linear_size in the test loader, to specify the size of the linear area in case of non-linear skbs. If the tag is absent or null, a linear skb is crafted. 2024-01-23bpf: Assign ID to scalars on spillMaxim Mikityanskiy
Currently, when a scalar bounded register is spilled to the stack, its ID is preserved, but only if was already assigned, i.e. if this register was MOVed before. Assign an ID on spill if none is set, so that equal scalars could be tracked if a register is spilled to the stack and filled into another register. One test is adjusted to reflect the change in register IDs. 2023-12-02bpf: simplify tnum output if a fully known constantAndrii Nakryiko
Emit tnum representation as just a constant if all bits are known. Use decimal-vs-hex logic to determine exact format of emitted constant value, just like it's done for register range values. For that move tnum_strn() to kernel/bpf/log.c to reuse decimal-vs-hex determination logic and constants.
